GNC X-12 Review
GNC X-12is said to prove you with “12 times more calorie burning after your workout” as well as to improve endurance and performance. Yet I can’t help but wonder how a diet pill manufacturing company can make such over the top claims without scientific evidence to back it up.
This thermogenic, metabolism-boosting formula is supposedly designed to help you burn more calories more efficiently, so you can lose weight faster than ever before, but is it as reliable as the manufacturers say?
GNC X-12 Ingredients
Let’s break down the formula so you know what you’re getting:
Niacin (B3) 20mg – This vitamin may lower LDL (bad) levels of cholesterol.
Caffeine Anhydrous – A natural stimulant that interacts with the central nervous system, caffeine is known to increase energy levels, decrease appetite, and improve mental and physical performance.
Capsimax – Capsicum Fruit Extract – Extracted from spicy peppers, Capsimax is a thermogenic ingredient that may temporarily increase the body’s core temperature so you can burn more calories throughout the day.
Bioperine Black Pepper Extract – Although not a weight loss ingredient per se, Bioperine increases the absorption of other ingredients, enhancing their effects.
It looks like even GNC hides the ingredient concentrations behind a proprietary blend mix, which doesn’t really help the credibility.
At any rate, the mix looks good at first glance. It is possible that these could help you burn a significant amount of calories after a workout, but with a grand total of 238 mg for all of these combined, this is a pretty weak formula.
Is It Safe?
Proprietary blends always send up a red flag, because you never know if the ingredients are in their clinically proven amounts. Although the blend is rather small, you may still experience negative side effects due to the fact that it contains stimulating ingredients such as caffeine.
Caffeine has been known to cause side effects such as:
Some consumers recommend taking GNC X-12 with food in order to reduce the risk of nausea.
Always approach proprietary blends with caution and consult your doctor before adding any new supplements or making drastic changes to your diet.
Unfortunately, GNC X-12 is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Although you may still find a few lingering reviews giving reference to this product, GNC no longer sells X-12 on its website.
Back when GNC X-12 was more popular, you could find the formula for about $50 a bottle, which was way overprice. Then as it became less popular, GNC slashed its prices to about $25 a bottle – making it fairly affordable but still not worth the investment.
If you somehow manage to find a bottle for a good price and still want to use it despite the risks, then you’ll want to try taking one capsule with 8 oz. of water at least 30-60 minutes before starting exercise. On days you don’t exercise, you can simply take one with water before breakfast.
Avoid taking GNC X-12 later in the day as it may cause insomnia and restless ness.
GNC X-12 Pros
• Was Available in stores and online
• Contains a few good fat burning ingredients
• Well-known Supplement Manufacturers
GNC X-12 Cons
• Over-priced ($50 per bottle)
• Is essentially a Caffeine pill
• Weak concentrations
GNC X-12 Conclusion
Although this product comes from a widely recognized company, its ingredients are pretty weak. It may be the case that GNC just wants to avoid being associated with negative side effects often associated with stronger products, but the point is this is not nearly the most powerful or necessarily a safer solution for weight loss. Because there is very little information available on GNC X-12, I don’t recommend turning to this supplement to reach your goals.
Additionally, GNC X-12 is almost impossible to find from a reliable source, so why take all the effort of tracking it down?
